Dr. Luis Idrovo

I have been working at Leeds Neurosciences since 2014 as a Consultant Neurologist with interests in Stroke and Headache Medicine. I currently provide inpatient and outpatient work including general neurology, Stroke/TIA clinic and specialised headache/injection clinics.

I am involved in acute Neurology and Stroke on calls on a regular basis. I also participate in stroke and headache NIHR and commercial clinical trials. I am particularly active in teaching medical students and trainee doctors including FY, CT and Registrars. I have also been appointed to participate regularly on lecturing the medical students from the University of Leeds.

I have previously completed a specialised neurology and stroke training programme at La Paz University Hospital in Madrid in 2009, a Postgraduate diploma at Autonoma University of Madrid, Spain, as well as a Neurosonology degree in 2012 in Budapest, Hungary. I completed my medical Doctorate degree (MD) in 2003 at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador.
