Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Anxiety

It was a calm and pleasant environment which helped me feel at ease

Relationship Issues

I went to Dr Bhavna for help with some relationship issues, and I’m really glad I did. Her Six Human Needs technique helped me understand myself and others better, and it has really helped me improve my relationships. I feel much clearer and more confident now. I would definitely recommend her.

Anxiety Disorder

Depression

Stress

I cannot find anything negative to say about Kipapa, I found the overall experience beneficial.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Dr. Ed Clark. He made me feel comfortable and at ease from my first appointment, seems genuinely invested in helping me as a patient and makes sure treatment plans are collaborative. My life has improved dramatically since being under his care and I’m incredibly grateful to have him as my Dr.

Trauma

A great therapist that I had for a few years. Julie was empathetic, supportive and well knowledged. Julie broke down my family tree upon meeting and proved to remember and reflect on the different areas of my life without me having to remind her or have all the answers myself. We covered a multitude of concerns across the years and she relieved me from some difficult situations. Sometimes I would have useful challenges to complete during my week to measure progress. She is certainly good for anxious people or relationship related discussions!

Having been to an NHS therapist previously and not getting very much out of it. Taking the steps to meet Vanessa was the most rewarding thing ever. Vanessa is amazing, the work we done has changed my life. Vanessa is kind, shows compassion and empathy, at no point did I feel like I was being judged in any way. I would recommend her to everyone. The minute I have even the slightest issue I will be right back to see her. Thank you for everything Vanessa you are truly the best.

Work Stress

I am so glad I found Sam to be my therapist. The therapy has been life-changing for me.

I contacted Sam during a very difficult family mental-health crisis, alongside a period of high work stress, and she was such a reassuring voice in the chaos.

She helped me get through the crisis point through having a safe space to talk, with practical ideas on how to solve immediate challenges like struggling with stress and sleep. Sam helped me to navigate relationships and feelings in a way that has had a lasting positive impact for me and my family and in my work-life. This helped me to support family in a way that is healthier for us all.

She supported me to understand interactions I was having, and try out new ways of engaging, which have created real change. I was surprised at the impact, in such a relatively short time, solving issues that seemed impenetrable before.

I wanted a therapist who was authentic and easy to talk to, and while I was cautious toward therapy I really trust Sam and became quickly confident to share. She helped me to focus on what I could do to improve things - in what felt like a sea of challenges - and think toward the future so I can continue with what I have learned.

LGBTQ+ Issues

I've been seeing Dr Alex Thomas for a couple of months now, and I can honestly say that my experience has been extremely positive.

From the beginning, Alex has created an environment where I feel comfortable, listened to and able to speak openly without feeling judged. I feel that I can express myself honestly, say what I need to say and know that I'm being heard.

One of the things I've particularly appreciated is her ability to ask thoughtful questions that encourage me to look deeper into aspects of myself and my relationships that I may not have previously considered. Whilst some of these questions can be challenging, I recognise that this is an important part of the process and ultimately what makes the sessions so valuable.

What also stands out is how attentive she is to the details of previous conversations. She remembers things I've shared, sometimes from several sessions ago, and is able to bring them back into discussions in a way that helps connect past experiences with present behaviours and patterns.

Even after a couple of months, I'm still discovering things about myself, my feelings and what I genuinely want. There are moments when further reflection brings new perspectives to light, helping both me and Alex develop a deeper understanding of my experiences and identify areas that may need further exploration.

I appreciate that therapy is a process and that understanding yourself takes time, but I feel I'm in very good hands with Alex. She's thoughtful, attentive, insightful and genuinely invested in helping me understand myself better. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who will listen, challenge them in a constructive way and help them explore things on a deeper level.
