Dr Louise Brown

Dr Louise Brown is a highly dedicated Consultant Cardiologist who provides expert care for patients experiencing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. With a strong clinical focus on advanced cardiac imaging, she is committed to delivering precise diagnoses and tailored treatment plans. Her clinical practice encompasses general cardiology, with a particular interest in heart failure, myocardial perfusion, and the assessment of complex heart conditions.

As a Specialist in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and multimodality imaging, Dr Brown utilises state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques to evaluate heart structure and function. Her clinical interests include the assessment of myocardial blood flow, coronary microvascular dysfunction, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She is also actively involved in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with other specialists to manage complex cases such as endocarditis and heart failure with mildly reduced ejection fraction. Through her clinical work, she aims to improve patient outcomes by identifying subtle cardiac changes before they progress.

Dr Brown completed her medical training, earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree. Demonstrating a deep commitment to advancing cardiovascular medicine, she subsequently undertook extensive postgraduate research, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Leeds. Dr Brown is an active member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and contributes her expertise to the EACVI Laboratory Accreditation CMR Subcommittee, helping to maintain high standards of cardiac imaging across the profession.
