Dr. Lauren Van Lancker is an award-winning Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Ophthalmologist who provides patient-centred care for a wide range of eye conditions. Dedicated to delivering high standards of clinical excellence, Dr. Van Lancker conducts thorough diagnostic assessments and offers tailored treatment plans to help protect and restore visual health. Her practice encompasses general eye care, with a primary clinical focus on the diagnosis and management of complex ocular conditions.

Dr. Van Lancker specialises in comprehensive glaucoma care and cataract surgery. She offers a broad array of modern therapeutic interventions, ranging from medical management and targeted laser procedures, such as Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty and Laser Peripheral Iridotomy, to sophisticated surgical options. Her expertise includes Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) utilising devices such as the iStent inject implant, Hydrus Microstent, and MINIject supraciliary device, alongside advanced surgical procedures including trabeculectomy, PreserFlo MicroShunt placement, and tube shunt operations.

Dr. Van Lancker graduated from the University of Bristol, earning degrees in Neuroscience (BSc) and Medicine (MBChB, 2010). She initially trained as a General Physician, attaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), before completing specialist Ophthalmic Surgical training and dedicated sub-specialty fellowship training in glaucoma. Dr. Van Lancker remains actively involved in teaching and supervising medical students and Resident Doctors, maintaining a strong commitment to medical education and high clinical standards.
