Eating Disorders

Anorexia

Trauma

I could not recommend TEDS highly enough to anyone who is looking to recover from an Eating disorder and/or trauma.

TEDS have given me back the life I had lost to my eating disorder and filled me with hope for a future I once believed would never be possible for me. They truly hold their clients at the heart of everything they do and always go above and beyond to support me.
Both Clare and Rach often remind me of my bravery when facing the difficulties that come with recovery, but this is equally a testament to them through the care, compassion, dedication, and skill they bring, and their ability to form strong, genuine connections and healthy therapeutic attachments which make me feel safe enough to be brave, to implement change and to be vulnerable in sessions.
They each bring something different to my recovery and care, making it diverse, unique, and completely individualised. Their combined approach helps me heal from the past, cope in the present, and plan for my future. I feel incredibly privileged to be a TEDS client and to receive such exceptional ongoing care.

Chronic Pain

EMDR therapy has been exactly what I needed after several years in therapy. Lorraine has compassionately provided a space where I can explore my deep somatic responses that have affected me for so long. She approaches this work with great care and compassion. I have always felt safe with her.

What enhances this experience even more is her lovely personality and sense of humor. I am grateful for her knowledge and her ability to help me reflect on myself and my responses. This has allowed me to come to terms with issues I've been in conflict with for many years.

When I first met Rachael, she spoke in a way which instantly set her apart from anyone I’d worked with in the past. She was genuine, kind and listened to what I had to say. She didn’t treat me like another number, diagnosis or try to fit me in to a box. Instead, she treated me like a human with real feelings, and helped me to understand that it is in fact, ok to feel.

Rach has a way of making you feel understood, even when you’re not sure you understand yourself.
Her kind, calm and caring demeanour make you feel at ease when discussing often very painful elements of your past, and present as she helps you to untangle and reorganise them in a way which allows you to move forwards.

Having felt misunderstood and not listened to in the past, seeing Rachael had changed how I feel about therapy in a positive way. I no longer fear sessions, because you know she is on your side and, will tell you the hard truths too, but in a way which allows you to understand and process it.

The combined approach at TEDs, and the skills Rachael has mean that you never feel like your a lost cause, because she will find a way to help you feel hopeful again, as well as reminding you everyone can heal.

I cannot recommend Rachael / TEDs highly enough. Her support has been invaluable and after many years, I truly believe that if anyone can help me recover, it will be TEDs.

Addiction

Loss & Bereavement

Meeting and working through my problems changed, if not saved my life. Her ability to get to the root of the problem is second to none. Empathetic, kind, straight talking and honest her approach makes you work towards finding yourself.
