Liberty House

I was very anxious before coming but the other residents made me feel so safe and welcomed. The programe of sessions and meetings were all beneficial and the assignments were also incredibly helpful although daunting and difficult to do at times. The staff were great and the routine was also a great comfort. I would of likes to do some yoga as the website implied, but this didn't happen while I was there. I also think more physical activity options as well as a short walk a day would be positive for many residents.

My recent time at Liberty House has been a completely different experience from anything I’ve ever done, and it’s been incredibly helpful. The staff have been so friendly, and I’ve met some amazing people who have become really good friends. They’ve supported me through my recovery, and I’m leaving 10 days sober feeling great, excited for what’s ahead and ready to start my new life. It will be sad to leave, but I’m grateful for everything I’ve experienced here.

I was escorted to the walk in clinic twice and the hospital for a removal of assist taken by staff member, which supported me mentally. And greetings every day from the staff and smiling faces.

Some common instances of miscommunication and lack of follow through on community meetings as well as intake introduction. Food was good for the most part and Annabel is amazing!

My recent admission was very good, I felt at ease, the staff were lovely, the therapists were very professional, my room was clean and tidy, the food was amazing and the group sessions were very helpful

I have hugely benefited from my experience here. The therapists and support staff were so kind and helpful, and i can't fault the therapy itself. I have realised why I drink and with the help of my therapist, I now have a plan in place to reduce the influence this has on my drinking and help with my ongoing recovery when I leave My fellow residents have also been a huge factor in my recovery. From the moment I arrived i was welcomed, and everyone understood what it was like when I was detoxing. We became a very close knit group having shared our life stories, which has been very emotional at times. We have supported each other both during and outside of sessions. Most of all though, there was so much laughter.
