Ms Latika Narang

Miss Latika Narang is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in general and ambulatory gynaecology. Her clinical interests include colposcopy, hysteroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, menopause and HRT, heavy and irregular periods, endometrial polyps, ovarian cysts including dermoid cysts, PCOS, postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic pain, secondary amenorrhoea and mild endometriosis

Miss Narang graduated in Medicine from Choudhary Charan Singh University in India in 1995. She subsequently completed structured specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology through the London Deanery training programme and developed further skills in ultrasound and acute gynaecology during a fellowship at St George's Hospital, Tooting.

Her procedural experience includes colposcopy and treatment of abnormal cervical smears, including LLETZ, diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopic surgery for ovarian cysts and removal of the fallopian tubes and ovaries, endometrial ablation for treatment of heavy periods and hysteroscopic removal of fibroids and polyps. She also performs gynaecological ultrasound and is involved in screening for gynaecological cancer.

Miss Narang has a particular interest in risk management and clinical governance and has presented at national and international conferences. She is involved in audit and service-improvement projects, as well as the development and updating of clinical guidelines and patient information. She also contributes to the teaching and training of GP trainees and medical students and is recognised as a trainer by the GMC.

Her professional memberships include the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).
