Dr Klaus Schmierer

Dr Klaus Schmierer is a Consultant Neurologist and Professor of Neurology who specialises in the clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex neurological disorders. He possesses deep clinical expertise in neuroinflammatory conditions, with a primary focus on multiple sclerosis. Dr Schmierer completed his undergraduate medical education in Berlin and Jerusalem before undertaking postgraduate specialist training in Neurology at Humboldt University Berlin. He subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue advanced clinical research, completing a PhD in magnetic resonance imaging correlates of neurological disease at University College London, where he also served as a Clinical Research Fellow.
