Mr Khaled El-Ghazali

Mr Khaled El-Ghazali works as a consultant Ophthalmologist, with a special interest in cataract and glaucoma at The Woodland Hospital in Kettering, which is part of Ramsay Healthcare. He was graduated from Cairo University in medicine, before undertaking his specialist Ophthalmic training in the UK. He was appointed as Honorary Consultant in 1993 in Swansea, then as full time consultant at Kettering Hospital in 2001.

Mr. El-Ghazali joined The Woodland Hospital in 2001 and has been working there since. During his career he served the Royal College of Ophthalmologists as College Tutor for the eye department in Kettering, and for 6 years he was the College Advisor for the East Midland Deanery. He was responsible for supervising the training of the Junior doctors in the region. He also was a senior trainer for the Cataract and Microsurgical courses in the college, and was member of the microsurgical training subcommittee. This gave him great experience in training junior doctors, and gaining experience in his subspecialty which is cataracts.
