Dr Kazumi Chia

Dr Kazumi Chia is a highly qualified Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in neuro-oncology and the treatment of central nervous system tumours. She provides comprehensive and reassuring care to patients navigating complex diagnoses, focusing on both primary and secondary brain tumours. Dr Chia works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that each patient receives a tailored, evidence-based treatment plan designed to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Her clinical expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of non-surgical oncological interventions for central nervous system malignancies. Dr Chia is skilled in administering systemic chemotherapy and advanced radiotherapy techniques. Her areas of clinical interest include stereotactic radiotherapy and radiosurgery for brain tumours, which allow for the precise delivery of targeted radiation while minimising impact on surrounding healthy tissue.

Dr Chia completed her medical degree at the GKT School of Medical Education before undertaking general medical training. She subsequently undertook specialist training in clinical oncology and was awarded a Cancer Research UK clinical training fellowship. Dr Chia earned a PhD from the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences at King's College London. She achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2018 and completed her specialist clinical training in 2020.
