Dr Katherine Stenson

Dr Katherine Stenson is an accomplished Consultant Vascular Surgeon dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care for patients with conditions affecting the circulation. She focuses on providing clear diagnostic evaluations and individualised treatment plans that prioritise patient well-being, comfort, and long-term vascular health. Her clinical practice encompasses a comprehensive spectrum of vascular disorders, combining traditional surgical expertise with modern, minimally invasive techniques.

Her areas of clinical expertise include the management of lower limb arterial disease, carotid arterial disease, and complex aortic conditions, such as abdominal aortic aneurysms. Dr Stenson also specialises in endovenous surgery for superficial venous disease, including varicose veins, as well as the emergency management of vascular trauma. By integrating advanced endovascular approaches with proven clinical strategies, she strives to achieve superior patient outcomes through safe and effective interventions.

Dr Stenson earned her primary medical qualification from Oxford University and Imperial College London in 2004. She completed her higher surgical training in general and Vascular Surgery across London, Kent, and Surrey, followed by a dedicated fellowship in endovenous surgery. Her commitment to academic medicine led to doctoral research investigating polymer technology for aneurysm repair and a prestigious tenure as a Clinical Lecturer in Vascular Surgery. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS).
