Dr Jon Hughes

Dr Jon Hughes is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive care across all aspects of women's reproductive health. Specialising in minimal access laparoscopic surgery, Dr Hughes is committed to delivering gentle, patient-focused care that prioritises comfort, safety, and long-term wellbeing. His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of general gynaecology and specialist services designed to address complex pelvic conditions and reproductive challenges.

Dr Hughes has developed primary clinical interests in the management of chronic pelvic pain, severe endometriosis, and subfertility. He regularly performs advanced laparoscopic and open surgical procedures to treat conditions such as endometriosis, heavy periods, blocked fallopian tubes, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic organ prolapse. In addition to minimally invasive surgical interventions, Dr Hughes offers non-surgical treatment options for fibroids and works collaboratively within multidisciplinary care teams to deliver individualised fertility consultations and treatment strategies.

Dr Hughes earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree from the University of Birmingham in 1996.
