John Rhodes

John Rhoades is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and a range of interpersonal difficulties. Since beginning his career in various NHS settings in 1993—including in Hackney, Haringey, Brent, and Tower Hamlets—he has developed a person-specific therapeutic approach that integrates cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative and solution-focused therapy, and schema-focused therapy. He holds a diploma in Schema Therapy from the International Society of Schema Therapy, which enhances his ability to work with long-term personality and interpersonal challenges.

Throughout his career, John has been instrumental in leading services; notably, from 2017 to May 2018, he served as the clinical lead for a new service in Tower Hamlets, specialising in first-onset psychosis in patients over 35. His clinical expertise extends to addressing a wide array of conditions, including bereavement, suicidal thoughts, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, and various mood disorders. John Rhoades is dedicated to providing tailored, evidence-based care, ensuring that each client receives compassionate support to overcome their difficulties and achieve lasting mental health improvements.
