Dr John McGrane

Dr John McGrane is a dedicated Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the management of urological and gynaecological cancers. As Clinical Lead for Radiotherapy, he brings clinical expertise to the treatment of complex oncological conditions, delivering holistic, patient-centred care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. His reassuring approach aims to empower patients with clear information and compassionate support throughout every stage of their cancer journey.

Dr McGrane earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree and completed specialist postgraduate training in clinical oncology across prominent regional cancer centres. He holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR). Dedicated to maintaining high professional standards, he actively participates in professional medical organisations and continuous medical education.

Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Dr McGrane is deeply involved in clinical research and digital health innovation. He serves as a Principal Investigator for a wide range of clinical trials exploring advanced therapies for prostate, bladder, renal, and gynaecological malignancies. A co-founder of the UK Renal Oncology Collaboration, he has also co-developed an award-winning patient support application and co-hosts an educational oncology podcast aimed at demystifying cancer care for patients and families.
