The Dr gave me very positive feedback .He was happy to see the transformation in me ..from the time I was in hospital , to today.
The hospital was excellent, prepping me and taking me down ready for a meeting with Dr Joao Martins, providing information about what to expect and risks. The team undertaking the Patent Foramen Ovale were friendly and kept me at ease, explaining processes and checking details throughout. Afterwards, all they had found and fixed was explained. I was take. Back upstairs to the Millenium ward where I was monitored and Dr Martins came up to check on me and explain next steps. Very very fortunate.
Cannot thank Dr Martins enough, thoroughly explained the procedure and carried out in full by his wonderful team. Thank you
From my consultant and the before and aftercare I received i cannot fault at all. This superb team were amazing and I am really grateful for everything that they did for me. Dr Martins and his team are a credit to the RSCH. Very much appreciated.
Dr. J Martins has given me clear, concise advice and answers to my questions from his initial diagnosis , through surgery and treatment, to my recovery and future requirements. I have completed confidence in Dr Martins, and could not have a better cardiologist.
First class. I cannot praise Dr Martins highly enough.
My sincere gratitude and warm regards to Dr J Martins, Cardiologist. I recently underwent two drug-eluted angioplasty procedures, on 17.10.2025 and 01.12.2025, under his care. I would like to formally acknowledge the exceptional standard of treatment and support I received throughout this period. Dr Martins demonstrated exemplary professionalism, compassion, and clinical expertise at every stage of my care. His calm and reassuring manner, combined with clear and empathetic communication, made a significant difference during what could have been a very stressful time for me. He ensured that I understood each step of the process, and his patient-centred approach gave me immense confidence and comfort. I am deeply grateful for his dedication and the outstanding quality of care he provides. My heartfelt thanks also extend to his team, who supported my treatment with kindness and efficiency.
Everything went very well and Dr Martins and the team who were involved today went above and beyond to make sure I felt reassured and explained the pre and post procedure very clearly. Thank you
Although during the operation he was behind a plastic sheet , he was responding to questions and kept me reassured during a complex procedure. He obviously had the support of his team and his follow up in the recovery area was delivered with facts and information to help me going forward. Of course stylish scrubs never go amis!
Dr Martins is a skilled and compassionate cardiologist. I would recommend his care and treatment to patients.
