Dr Jillian Hunter

Dr Jillian Hunter is a dedicated General Practitioner at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Belfast and Maypole Clinic in Holywood. She completed her medical degree at Queen’s University of Belfast in 2007. She qualified as a General Practitioner in 2012 in Northern Ireland, obtaining her Membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners in the same year. Also in 2012, Dr Hunter completed her Diploma in Geriatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians. In 2014, she became a Member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. Dr Hunter also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education and is currently completing a Master’s degree.

Since 2014, Dr Hunter has practiced as an Emergency Medicine doctor in the NHS, holding life support certificates in adult and paediatric resuscitation. Alongside these roles, she is also the Undergraduate Simulation Lead for the Western HSC Trust, an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor for the Royal College of Surgeons and an OSCE Examiner for Queen’s University. 

In her spare time, Dr Hunter continues her medical engagement as a Volunteer Regional Clinical Manager for St John Ambulance (NI). In this role, she holds responsibility for clinical policy development, clinical audit, and quality assurance.
