He pursued a PhD at Imperial College London, focusing his research efforts on "A multi-dimensional evidence toolkit for the evaluation of point-of-care diagnostic tests." Undertaken within the NIHR Diagnostic Evidence Co-operative in London, his research endeavours have contributed valuable insights to the evaluation of diagnostic tools in the medical field. This academic pursuit reflects Mr Huddy's dedication to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Notably, Mr. Huddy's passion for research continues beyond his PhD. He remains an honorary clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College.

Mr Huddy is a patient and caring consultant. He allows time and listened to my concerns, so to make the best assessment of treatment for me. He recognised my prior cancer treatment left a legacy of nervousness of any procedure in hospital and was supportive throughout consultation and in theatre, explaining each step.
