Dr James Wilson

Dr James Wilson is a Consultant Urologist who provides expert diagnostic assessment and treatment for a broad spectrum of general urological conditions and complex urological cancers. With a strong commitment to patient-centred care, he ensures that individuals presenting with urinary concerns or potential malignancies receive clear guidance, comprehensive investigations, and tailored management plans. His clinical practice encompasses both benign conditions of the urinary tract and specialised oncology services.

In his clinical work, Dr Wilson possesses extensive skill in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including keyhole laparoscopic kidney procedures and endoscopic diagnostic evaluations. He regularly assesses and treats lower urinary tract symptoms, recurrent urinary tract infections, haematuria, and prostate conditions. Additionally, he performs a wide range of surgical treatments, such as prostate resections, cystoscopies, vasectomies, circumcisions, orchidectomies, and minor penile or scrotal surgeries, offering patients clear communication and reassuring support at every stage.

Dr Wilson completed his medical education at the University of Sheffield, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) in 1992. He subsequently conducted postgraduate research focusing on immunological responses in bladder cancer, earning a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Sheffield in 2001. In 2003, he achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in Urology. He is a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the European Association of Urology.
