Mr Jaimin Bhatt is a Consultant Urologist specialising in robotic urological surgery, in the treatment of conditions such as prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney stones. He sees private patients at the BMI Ross Hall Hospital.
Mr Bhatt earned his primary medical qualification at the University of Nairobi, after which, he went on to undertake his basic training. He then came to the UK, and continued his specialist training in Oxford. He was then awarded the opportunity to undertake a fellowship with the University of Toronto and als the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, during which he gained knowledge and expertise in robotic cancer surgery. He was awarded several grants and prizes for his work during this fellowship.
Upon completion of his training and fellowships, he was appointed Consultant in 2013, and has since become a crucial Consultant on the West of Scotland Robotic Prostatectomy Service, where he guides the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment. He is well versed in undertaking biopsies and providing a wide range of treatment options for prostate cancer, including surgical and non-surgical treatment such as Rezum and greenlight laser surgery. Mr Bhatt has also since been appointed Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow.
