Dr Imran Hussain is a highly experienced Consultant in General Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine, with over 20 years of experience. He completed his medical degree at the University of London in 1990 followed by his specialist training. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1993 and was awarded his PhD by the University of Southampton in 2003. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007 and is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr Hussain currently sees private patients at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital. He has clinical interests in lung cancer diagnosis, COPD, asthma (including severe asthma) and breathlessness. He also helps run and coordinate the secondary care post-COVID clinics, helping patients get back to optimal respiratory health.

A thoroughly professional Doctor that reassured and advised me on my condition. He explained in simple layman terms without the medical jargon all the procedures and tests that will be needed for a proper diagnosis. Advised me of options once he has collated the test results and move forward with treatment

Dr Hussain is easily one of the most competent clinicians I have come across. He listens to his patients at all times and has excellent bed side manner. He is well read in his speciality and has in depth knowledge of his subspeciality.
