Ilias Paschopoulos is the first and only physiotherapist featured in Tatler’s address book. He is a senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Sports Physiotherapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). He graduated from the University of West Attica in Greece and, driven by a strong passion for sports rehabilitation, relocated to London to further his training. There, he completed an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, graduating with distinction.
Ilias has extensive experience working in busy private clinical settings, where he manages a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. He specialises in lower limb injuries affecting the hip, knee, foot, and ankle, as well as sports-related injuries, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, and degenerative conditions. He also has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of neck pain and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction. His clinical skill set includes manual therapy, exercise-based rehabilitation, and the use of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Alongside his clinical work, Ilias has worked within professional football academies in both Greece and the UK and is currently a Casual Academy Physiotherapist at Chelsea FC, working with players aged under 9 to under 15. These roles have given him valuable expertise in managing adolescent athletes, growth-related injuries, and the specific rehabilitation demands of young sportspeople.
Ilias works closely with patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, combining hands-on treatment with personalised, gym-based exercise programmes to support recovery, optimise performance, and help individuals return confidently to the activities they enjoy.

Ilias was so helpful. I had pain in my bicep that he was able to diagnose quickly and give me the correct exercises that led to the pain going away after 2 sessions
Ilias helped me a great deal especially to rehabilitate my weak knee. I have no hesitation recommending him. He is a very talented professional.
Ilias is a lifesaver for many members of our family across generations! His expertise is matched by his positive energy and enthusiasm with each visit. From varsity rowers requiring weekly ‘maintenance’ and performance extension to those for whom too much time in an office demands creative, efficient workouts for back health, Ilias is the ONE. After a lifetime of back specialists, I need to look no further. Ilias is simply the best and always working on improving his own techniques and the longevity/ wellbeing of those lucky enough to get time with him as a physiotherapist and partner in good health.
I have been doing sessions with Ilias after my mpfl surgery. He has been very helpful and the recovery plan was very clear
Ilias is very knowledgeable and professional! Thank you so much!
Illias has helped me recover from a stress reaction in both legs, he was quick to diagnose and was very knowledgeable on how to adjust my training plan to ensure I’m in the best position on London Marathon day. We had 6 weekly sessions and treatment adjusted to how I reacted that week. He was excellent
I highly recommend this physiotherapist. I’ve been playing tennis since I was a young child, not just casually but with a serious and consistent commitment over the years. Recently, while in London, I developed tendonitis in my ankle, which was affecting both my performance and daily life. From the very first session, he was professional, attentive, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to properly assess my condition, explain the issue in detail, and tailor a treatment plan specifically to my needs as a tennis player. Thanks to his guidance and treatment, my recovery was not only effective but also faster than I expected. He helped me safely return to the court with confidence, and I felt supported throughout the entire process. An outstanding professional and a genuinely great person — I’m very grateful for his help.
I met Mr Illyas Paschopoulos approximately three months after sustaining a tibial plateau fracture. At that stage, I could barely move my leg and the recovery ahead felt both uncertain and daunting. Over the past two years, his input has been nothing short of transformative. Through consistent, carefully structured sessions, he has taken me from severe functional limitation to a level of recovery I would not have thought possible at the outset — I have since been skiing on three separate occasions, I can run, and I am able to work normally again. This has not been a straightforward rehabilitation. It has required sustained effort over a prolonged period, made more challenging by the demands of running a business, which often limited what I could realistically do between sessions. Despite that, his diligence, persistence and clinical judgement have ensured steady, meaningful progress throughout. He is exceptionally thorough in his assessments, clear in his explanations, and highly adaptable in his approach. Sessions are always purposeful and tailored, and he has an ability to adjust plans pragmatically without losing sight of long-term goals. He is also flexible with scheduling and, importantly, an excellent communicator — qualities that make a significant difference over a long rehabilitation process. Beyond his technical expertise, he is simply a good person to work with — approachable, supportive, and consistently invested in achieving the best possible outcome. As one healthcare professional commenting on another, I do not make this statement lightly: he is the best...
Read moreExceptional physiotherapist. Made impressive progress under Ilias’ guidance. Can only strongly recommend him.
Ilias is fantastic physio with expert knowledge and understanding. He helped to rehab me back to full function after I broke my elbow badly in 2024. The doctors said I wouldn't be able to achieve full extension, but we did it, so I am eternally grateful to Ilias for the support and guidance he gave me during that difficult time. Highly recommend!
As a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, I do not refer patients to Iliyas professionally (but I happily would if anyone needed a great physiotherapist). However, I have known and worked with him personally for the past two years, seeing him consistently for approximately two hours per week following a tibial plateau fracture that left me with significant functional limitation. At the time I first saw him, I could barely move my leg and the recovery ahead was uncertain. Through a structured, consistent and highly considered rehabilitation process, he has taken me from that point to a level of reco...
