Amazing doctor made me feel so comfortable all the way through my procedure everyone was lovely
I have always found Mr McLaughlin-Symon very pleasant, professional and easy to talk to. I value his opinions and advice. This visit was a follow-up appointment after surgery on my finger in which I was discharged. I would like to say that his whole team have been excellent during my treatments. On this occasion, he was also able to advise me regarding another issue, which will need treatment.
I feel I have received exceptional care. My broken wrist was very slightly displaced and after a thorough review and discussion conservative management was agreed , which has certainly been the correct decision for me. I cannot thank Mr McLaughlin-Symon enough for his advice, regular reviews and general support. I felt very well informed and understood why we were pursuing the course of action agreed but also what could be done in the event the healing process did not proceed as desired. Fortunately it did and my wrist is in great shape.
A very positive experience from start to finish. Mr McLaughlin-Symon is very professional yet personable and made me feel relaxed and reassured from first consultation through to the operation and follow up.
Mr Iain McLaughlin-Symon performed surgery on my left hand to correct dupuytrens contracture on my little finger. The surgery went well and I left hospital with my hand well bandaged and protected. After 1 week a very proffessional nurse removed the big bandage and replaced with a smaller bandage and I was provided with a splint to wear at night to keep the finger straight. Another week later another very proffessional nurse removed the bandage and removed all of the tiny stitches in the wound. The attention to detail by all of the staff who helped me was very impressive and has contributed to the excellent outcome of my surgery.
The empathy and diagnosis to me regarding the excision of my wright wrist ganglion were second to none. And the surgery performed by Mr Iain McLaughlin-Symon went without any problems or after effects, and I couldn’t praise his medical skills highly enough. There are the no remnants of my wrist ganglion whatsoever , and the slight scar after the surgery is barely visible now and will probably have disappeared entirely within about 6 months.
From start to finish the care I received from Mr Mclaughlin-Symon was exemplary. Everything was explained clearly with the risks, benefits and possible long term outcomes all laid out for consideration. I was given time to make my decision on the course of treatment, the surgery was quick and executed as expected and I am delighted with the outcome.
I first saw Iain earlier this year where we discussed the options on how to treat my Dupuytrens nodule on my right palm. I decided to opt for the steroid injection which was carried out with great accuracy and skill. Prior to my treatment I was unable to cycle, dig my garden or even use a screwdriver. Now five months on the nodule has reduced in size and the pain has completely gone ! Last week I dug-over a large section of my garden and experienced no discomfort whatsoever. Whilst I appreciate my symptoms may reappear, for now I cannot thank Iain enough. Sincerely, Neil M.
Everything was fine on time operation explained thoroughly and after car excellent
Very good experience, found Iain to be very professional, clear and precise. The procedure, risks and potential benefits were described clearly, the whole process was managed very efficiently and would like to thank Iain and the team for an excellent service and after care
