Heenal Desai

Heenal Desai is a vibrant and compassionate Physiotherapist at Sports and Spinal Physio dedicated to making a positive impact on her patients' lives. Originally from India, she pursued her passion for physiotherapy at the undergraduate level, gaining diverse experience through rotations in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, medical and surgical wards, geriatrics, cardiorespiratory, and post-COVID rehabilitation.

Heenal earned Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Pune, India in 2021, followed by her Master's degree in Advancing Physiotherapy Practice from the University of Coventry in 2023. Following her internship, she developed her skills during a year at Qi Spine Clinic Mumbai, India, a private physiotherapy clinic specialising in spinal conditions. She also holds a Mulligan Therapies Certified in Dry Needling.

Heenal served as a physiotherapist for the participants of the Oxfam 100km walkathon in Mumbai (2019) and the Pune Pinkathon (2019), a women's marathon focused on breast cancer awareness. She is driven by the goal of helping her patients achieve their individual objectives and reach their optimum level of function. 

Her approach focuses on preventing further injury, minimising pain, and promoting overall wellbeing. With her optimistic and cheerful demeanour, Heenal is committed to providing high-quality care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves at Sports and Spinal Physio.
