Dan Smith

Dan Smith is a Chartered Physiotherapist and the Director and Clinical Head of Sports and Spinal Physio in Brentwood. Dan is passionate about achieving exceptional outcomes for his patients, coupled with a keen interest in uncovering the underlying factors that contribute to their issues. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Liverpool in 1997 and since 2000, he has been providing excellent physiotherapy services in the private sector.

In 2010, Dan became the Clinical Director at Sports and Spinal Physio. This role has allowed him to not only treat patients but also lead and shape the practice, making a remarkable impact along the way. His commitment to professional development is evident through his certifications as a Kinetic Control Practitioner, TPM Pro License Holder, and successful completion of Level 1 & 2 at the Watson Headache Institute.

Dan firmly believes that our movements shape our overall functioning and places particular focus on the concept that limited movement choices, often lurking beneath our awareness, can lead to pain and other issues. This belief is integrated into his practice at all stages, further emphasised by his extensive training, including the full Kinetic Control Course and a master's module at Keele University and APPI Clinical Pilates matwork level 1 training.

Beyond his role as a physiotherapist, Dan's passion for helping others extends to the realm of sports coaching. He dedicates his time as a swimming coach for the Hoddesdon Swimming Club, showcasing his commitment to enhancing individuals' wellbeing through various avenues.
