Ms Harriet Veale

Ms Harriet Veale is a dedicated CBT/EMDR Therapist and Counsellor at Priory Bristol Park Clinic.

Harriet earned a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Education from Bath Spa University in 2004, followed by a Certificate of Higher Education in Health and Social Care from the University of the West of England in 2008. Her passion for counselling led her to complete a Foundation Degree in Person-Centred Counselling at Bath Spa University in 2012. To further specialise in her field, she pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People at the University of South Wales in 2014, and later, a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT for Children and Young People (IAPT Service) from the University of Exeter in 2019.

At Priory Bristol Park Clinic, Harriet utilises her extensive training and expertise to support clients of all ages through a variety of challenges. She is particularly skilled in CBT, a therapeutic approach that helps individuals identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. Harriet is also proficient in EMDR, a powerful therapy often used to treat trauma and PTSD. Her approach is holistic and client-centred, ensuring that each individual feels heard, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

In addition to her work as a therapist, Harriet also provides counselling supervision, guiding and mentoring other counsellors to enhance their professional development. Harriet has a deep understanding of both child and adult mental health, combined with her empathetic and non-judgmental approach.
