About Mr Hariom Sur
Mr Hariom Sur serves as a Consultant Urologist at The Priory Hospital, The Harborne Hospital and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
He completed his medical degree at the University of London in 2005, followed by his higher surgical training in the West Midlands. Subsequently, he undertook further fellowship training at Fremantle Hospital in Australia and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Later, he became a Fellow in Urology of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His specialist interests include the management of patients with urinary stone disease and non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
Throughout his career, Mr Sur has been actively involved in the training of higher surgical trainees in urology. He has been an invited faculty member on courses for ureteroscopy and treatment of kidney stones. Additionally, he has been actively involved in research and has presented at numerous national and international conferences.

My visit was for a 6 monthly check up and as usual I was met wiith a professional yet warm and friendly atmosphere. Mr. Hariom Sur and the entire team made the whole experience as good as it possibly could be. Upon leaving I was also lucky enough to encounter Lynne, who carried out my immunotherapy treatments, and Laura, who was present at my initial diagnosis - again such warm and friendly people. I salute you all and thank you for all you do.
Could not wish for a better experience. Mr Sur’s “bedside manner “ is quite exceptional. His explanations are clear and concise. Nothing is too much trouble. He treats patients with absolute respect.
My father has been seeing Mr Sur over the last two years and today was a 6 monthly check of his bladder. As ever we could not ask for more. Mr Sur treats my father with the utmost respect and is clear and precise when explaining things. My father is 87 and always comes away from his appointments praising the care he has received from Mr Sur. We have been so lucky to be under Mr Sur's care throughout my father's bladder cancer diagnosis.
Excellent, - clear , polite, concise, attentive. All alternative were discussed, and treatment pattern agreed. I came away feeling secure and confident with the outcome.
So many words apply to Mr. Sur - he is a pleasure to meet; very welcoming and friendly, and always professional and thorough. He immediately puts you at ease with his calm and reassuring manner and is always ready and willing to spend time explaining and answering any and all questions. He obviously has a brilliant relationship with his team evident with mutual respect and rapport. He has provided consistent support and reassurance to me and my wife during my cancer journey,
