Miss Hala Ali

Miss Hala Ali is a Consultant Ophthalmologist based in Camberley, Surrey and Ascot, Berkshire. She is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cataract surgery, corneal and anterior segment conditions, keratoconus, and refractive surgery. She sees adult and paediatric patients through her NHS practice at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, and privately at Parkside Suite Frimley (Camberley) and Parkside Suite Heatherwood (Ascot).

Patients see Miss Ali for a wide range of eye conditions, including cataract surgery for standard and premium intraocular lenses to restore sharp, clear vision. She also treats dry eyes, corneal disease, pterygium, and vision problems linked to astigmatism or keratoconus. She offers advanced treatment options such as femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, YAG laser, corneal cross-linking, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.

Miss Ali graduated in Medicine with Merit from Guy's, King's College and St Thomas' School of Medicine, London, and holds an MSc with Distinction in Biology of Vision from University College London's Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital. She completed advanced fellowship training in cornea, anterior segment, and refractive surgery. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and holds the Certificate in Laser and Refractive Surgery.

Alongside her clinical work, Miss Ali is an accredited Educational Supervisor. She is also an Examiner and Skills Tutor for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. She has published research identifying genetic mutations linked to Megalocornea. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences including ESCRS, ASCRS, ARVO and RCOphth. She is a member of the UK & Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (UKISCRS) and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).
