Mr. Mishank Jain is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a subspecialist interest in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He is known for his calm, patient-focused approach and dedication to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.

His residency training was in the competitive North Thames training programme centred at Moorfields Eye Hospital after ranking 8th in competitive national selection. He has completed two competitive glaucoma surgical fellowships—one at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (Western Eye Hospital) and another at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital—gaining advanced training in the full range of glaucoma procedures. These include Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) such as iStent, Hydrus Microstent, ECP laser, and goniosynechialysis, as well as filtration surgeries like trabeculectomy, Preserflo MicroShunt, and glaucoma drainage devices, including the Paul Glaucoma Implant, which he introduced to Frimley Health NHS Trust.
Beyond his clinical work, Mr. Jain is an active contributor to medical education and academic ophthalmology. He is a PLAB examiner for the General Medical Council (GMC) and a lecturer at the University of Surrey Medical School.
Mr. Jain has presented at leading international conferences including the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), World Glaucoma Congress, ASCRS, and ARVO, and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. In recognition of his research, he was awarded the Imperial College Ophthalmic Research Group Medal Prize.
