Mr Modi graduated in 2005 from the University of London. He then when on to complete his higher specialist surgical Ophthalmology training on the South West Peninsula rotation. He gained fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2014 and following this completed a fellowship in Oculoplastics becoming a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society. He is a Consultant at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey.
He is a specialist in cataract, glaucoma and oculoplastic surgery.
Mr Modi leads the LASER and emergency eye service at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey. As well as this he is responsible for training future eye surgeons and is the lead trainer for eye surgery simulation in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex region.
He has written an ophthalmology textbook with Oxford University Press, which is a key text for trainee eye surgeons and is well published in the field of ophthalmology.
Mr Modi believes in treating people holistically and in a way that he himself would like to be treated. He believes that outcomes are improved when patients understand their condition and makes time available to explain the diagnosis and treatment plan in a way that is clear and easy to follow.
