About Ms Gopalan Vijaya
Ms Gopalan Vijaya is a consultant obstetrician and urogynaecologist at Frimley Park Hospital where she is the current clinical lead for gynaecology clinical governance. Ms Vijaya qualified in 1993 with an MBBS from Bharatidasan University before completing subspecialist urogynaecology training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a result of her research, she has gained a number of publications in medical journals and presented at a number of national and international conferences.

I required a few consultations prior to any procedure & from the first meeting Miss Vijaya was friendly, understanding & explained everything in easy to understand terms. Being an older patient (82yrs almost) this was very important. Miss Vijaya was reassuring but also went to the effort of managing expectations. This was so much appreciated. When the day of surgery arrived, Miss Vijaya visited early to again explain the procedure & answer any questions when she also provided lots of reassurance, leaving a feeling of safety & the continued confidence I had felt from our first meeting.
