of Dr Garry Savin practises from UME Health at number 17 Harley Street in central London and is the Director of Lumen Advanced Health Assessments. He trained as a doctor at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London, qualifying in 1989 and working in general medicine including oncology and surgery posts. He spent a further 3 years in the hospitals of East London training to become a GP, working in the specialities of Accident & Emergency medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. After a further year as a trainee, he qualified as a GP in Enfield North London where he worked for many years and developed a passionate interest in preventative medicine. He took this passion over to the private sector and helped to develop Nuffield Hospitals Health Screening since its instigation and soon became their National Clinical Advisor to Health Screening for five years with clinical responsibility for 44 Wellness Centres and some 244 Health screening doctors throughout the UK. During this time, he helped to set up 7 health assessment centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Previously Dr Savin has also practised at the London Clinic in Harley Street for 6 years and at the Hospital of St John and Elizabeth's in St John's Wood, as well as Harley Street.
He joined "Preventicum" in February 2006 and was the Medical Director and lead doctor for over 13 years, developing scanning as a health assessment tool.
He now practises at the new, fully refurbished UME Health Diagnostic Centre, Harley Street in Central London's prestigious medical district, which has an extensive on-site suite of 'state of the art' diagnostic scans.
During his 34 year career Dr Savin has enjoyed performing well in excess of 20,000 health assessments making him one of the most experienced doctors in the field.
A keen ‘explorer', photographer, conservationist and Medical Expedition Doctor on over a dozen expeditions worldwide, he has travelled extensively to the developing world, and been privileged to work alongside wildlife experts specialising in orangutans, Asian elephants, venomous snakes and snow leopards, including multiple trips to Nepal, India, Mongolia, the South American Amazon jungle, Papua New Guinea, Borneo and Sumatra.

By being the nexus of the whole process, Garry guided me through the health screening in a hugely comforting and educational way. Each test was explained with a clear and concise summary of what conclusions could be drawn; practical advice given where required. I was really nervous but Dr. Savin explained things to in a way I understood and put my mind at ease.

Dr Savin was very professional and he explained comprehensively about all the tests I was going to have. He gave helpful advice about lifestyle and health. The results of all my tests came through incredibly quickly, and as soon as he received them he emailed them to me instantly.

Dr. Savin was warm, friendly and thorough and I felt like he was personally invested in my health and well-being. Overall, the whole health assessment experience was pleasant (even enjoyable).

I found Dr Garry Savin very personable and professional and any anxieties I had regarding the assessment were quickly overcome once meeting him. He went through all the results with me which were available on the day in a clear concise way and gave me great advice for the future.

Was booked on a full medical by my employer - my third - in March, all completed under the supervision of Dr Savin. Once again, the entire experience was made enjoyable. There was no hanging about, you are made most welcome and are kept fully informed at every stage of the process (and in layman’s terms!!). In every medical, one small issue or other have been highlighted. These were always clearly explained and, more importantly, have ultimately been of massive benefit to my health going forward. My interactions with Dr Savin (apart from the prostrate exam…..) have always been an absolute pleasure and I’d like to put a shout out to Connor O’Reilly. He was my main contact in arranging the day and during it. He was so professional and friendly and did a superb job of putting me at ease. Cannot recommend the people and process enough.

Dr Savin is very experienced , explains everything very clearly , happy to answer any questions and answers them directly and honestly. His team run like clockwork, very professional, the offices are beautiful and the equipment is all first class and up to date. Lunch was excellent. Highly recommend.
