Dr Fraser Gibb

Dr Fraser Gibb is a Consultant Physician specialising in Endocrinology & Diabetes. He provides expert, comprehensive care for patients managing a wide spectrum of hormonal, endocrine, and metabolic conditions. In his clinical practice, Dr Gibb manages diverse endocrine disorders alongside specialised diabetes care. His clinical interests in endocrinology encompass general endocrinology, thyroid disorders, thyroid nodules, differentiated thyroid cancer, and primary hyperparathyroidism. Within diabetes care, Dr Gibb has extensive expertise in type 1 diabetes, intensive type 1 diabetes management, adolescent diabetes care, and general diabetes services. He is particularly focused on advanced diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring, flash glucose monitoring, and hybrid closed-loop systems, helping patients optimise their glucose control and improve their quality of life.

Dr Gibb earned his medical degree (MB ChB) from the University of Edinburgh in 2000. Following his undergraduate medical training, he completed higher specialist training in endocrinology and diabetes. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Edinburgh for research investigating the metabolic effects of sex steroid hormones. Dr Gibb is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and active in leadership roles across professional organisations, serving on national committees dedicated to advancing diabetes technology and clinical guidelines.
