Dr Fiona McHugh

Dr Fiona McHugh is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care to infants, children, and young people. She provides comprehensive care across general paediatric medicine, working closely with young patients and their families to ensure individualised treatment plans tailored to each child's unique physical and emotional needs.

Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of paediatric services, with particular expertise in paediatric eating disorders liaison and day-unit acute paediatric care. Dr McHugh's wide-ranging medical interests also include paediatric infectious diseases, neonatal care, and developmental assessments. She takes a holistic approach to child health, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, continuous patient care.

Dr McHugh earned her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Birmingham, qualifying in 1998. Following postgraduate medical training, she attained Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2004. She remains actively engaged in clinical leadership, education, and service development to maintain excellent standards of paediatric healthcare delivery.
