Ms Fay Kalapoda

Fay Kalapoda is a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist with extensive clinical and academic experience. She is accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and is an EMDR Europe qualified therapist.

Fay began her training in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) in 2007, which later informed her practice in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). In 2020, she completed all three parts of the EMDR Europe accredited training, specialising in trauma therapy. She provides one-to-one psychotherapy for emotional and psychological issues, with expertise in anxiety disorders, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative, combining CBT/REBT with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT), while adhering to NICE clinical guidelines to create bespoke treatment plans.

Fay holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Applied Biology and Psychology, two Master of Science degrees in Health Psychology and REBT, a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT, a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching Psychology, and an EMDR qualification.

She has 15 years of experience in higher education, with a focus on student mental health, and has worked with West London Mental Health NHS Trust at the Feltham Young Offender Institution, as well as a London-based GP surgery.

Fay is an active member of the BABCP, the Association for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (AREBT), and the EMDR Association UK. She serves as Honorary Secretary of AREBT, is a Fellow of Higher Education, and maintains a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
