Dr. Fausto Morell-Ducos

Dr. Fausto Morell-Ducos is a distinguished Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing complex acute and chronic pain. Recognising that persistent pain impacts every aspect of a person's life, Dr. Morell-Ducos adopts a holistic and empathetic approach to clinical assessment and treatment. He works collaboratively with each patient to design individualised management plans aimed at reducing discomfort, restoring daily function, and improving overall quality of life.

With extensive clinical expertise, Dr. Morell-Ducos specialises in the interdisciplinary management of challenging pain conditions, including neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, pain associated with sickle cell disease, and functional abdominal pain disorders. He is highly experienced in supporting patients who present with complex medical comorbidities, polypharmacy, or co-occurring mental health and neurodivergent conditions, such as autism spectrum disorder, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, and functional neurological disorders. In addition to providing anaesthesia for major surgical procedures, he offers targeted interventions including cancer pain procedures, therapeutic nerve blocks, intravenous infusions, and tailored opioid stewardship strategies.

Dr. Morell-Ducos graduated with honours from the School of Medicine at the University of Leeds. He subsequently completed training in general internal medicine, obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007, before undertaking higher specialty training in anaesthetics and completing an advanced fellowship in pain medicine. Alongside additional clinical training in psychiatry, Dr. Morell-Ducos earned a Master's degree with distinction in Clinical and Experimental Medicine. His professional qualifications include Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
