Erin Lahay is a physiotherapist at Better, Soho & Pure Sports Medicine, Moorgate. She has been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist for 18 years after having completed a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. She has also completed the Manual Therapy Levels 1–4 in mobilization and manipulation with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Her clinical experience as well as her involvement in sports throughout her life has helped her understand the importance of addressing both the physical and mental challenges associated with injuries.
Specializations:
For the past 13 years Erin has worked in London in sports medicine where she has established long-standing relationships with some of the leading sports and orthopaedic consultants. She works within multidisciplinary teams to enable more personalized treatment and quicker recovery for patients.
Approach: She uses a combination of exercise (including Reformer Pilates), manual therapy (joint mobilizations, manipulations and soft tissue techniques)and education to empower individuals to regain control of movement and achieve their goals. She enjoys treating all musculoskeletal conditions and especially loves problem-solving complex cases and treating persistent pain. She believes the best treatment plan relies on determining the underlying cause of an injury as well as an accurate diagnosis. A good exercise program is often the best form of rehabilitation and it is paramount in preventing injuries from recurring.
In her free time Erin enjoys playing with her four-year-old daughter, running, travelling to places off the beaten track and playing piano in a funk band.

Ms Erin Lahay is knowledgeable and professional in her approach to patient care. She designs structured, personalised exercise plans with testing. These help identify root causes and track patient progress throughout recovery. Patients achieve great improvements for knee pain, running injuries, lower back pain, and strengthening exercises.
I've really enjoyed my sessions with Erin. Recurring injuries in my lower back and hip had left me apprehensive about getting back to the gym and lifting weights, but with her guidance I'm now lifting heavier than ever. She always gives me great advice around my form and gently nudges me to keep pushing forward, even when the voice in my head is nervous to do so. She's helped me to prove myself wrong time after time, which is a great feeling! I'm also back to running on a regular basis which I'm really pleased about. Overall I feel great now, stronger than ever and well equipped to react when I have minor flare ups (which have been very rarer for the last year!) Thanks so much Erin.
Erin is fantastic. She helped me with both my back and knee pain and was brilliant throughout. She explained everything clearly, helping me understand what was causing the issues and how the treatment and exercises would help. She was also incredibly encouraging and supportive, which made a real difference. I felt well looked after, and I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional and caring physio!
Great at conversing, and covered all of the areas that I was looking for. Good knowledge of running and gym techniques which was helpful for what I wanted to get out of it
I’ve been seeing Erin on and off for over a year to manage a knee injury, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She combines deep experience with a pragmatic, structured approach that gives me a lot of confidence in the treatment plan we put in place. She always works with me to find practical ways to keep me strong, active and able to continue running safely. Every session feels purposeful and tailored to my goals. I trust her judgement completely and really value her ability to balance expertise with encouragement and realism. Her support has been invaluable throughout my recovery journey.

Erin has a thorough approach to physiotherapy by performing a series of initial tests and providing a progressive exercise plan to identify the cause of an issue and address it permanently. I would really recommend working with Erin.
I came to Erin to address some running injuries, specifically hip and ankle pain. From the very first day the experience working with her has been incredible. She was the first physio to truly look at my injuries holistically, and really consider how weaknesses in one part of my body could have resulted in an injury. Erin always confirmed her hypothesis about injuries with rigorous testing and always made sure that I perform strengthening exercises correctly. Thanks to Erin, I went from wondering if I will ever be able to run half marathon again, to completing a marathon in a great time (and injury free!).
I can’t recommend Erin enough. From the very first session, she was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping me recover properly - not just treating the symptoms, but understanding the root cause and building a plan that actually worked. Erin is professional, encouraging, and explains everything in a way that makes you feel confident and motivated throughout the process. I’ve made huge progress thanks to her care, patience, and expertise, and I honestly feel lucky to have found her. If you’re looking for a physio who truly cares about their patients and goes above and beyond, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Erin.

Thank you very much for your kind review. It's great to see how far you've progressed over the past year. I'm happy to hear I've helped build your confidence and well done with your amazing strength gains!

I have worked with Erin for almost 1 year now, and she has been brilliant. We had to try a number of different things to identify the root cause of my calf pains. Erin was patient, thorough and positive throughout. At every stage she explained what we were trying to do to diagnose and/or improve my condition. I went from not being able to run more than 1km to now running 5km twice per week, and I am very grateful.
