Matthew qualified as a podiatrist in 2014 from the University of Southampton, graduating with first class honours. Following this he completed an Arthritis Research UK internship at the University of Leeds and completed an MRes with Merit in clinical and health research as part of the NIHR Clinical Academic Training scheme at the University of Southampton.
Currently, Matthew is employed as an Extended Scope MSK podiatrist within an NHS musculoskeletal service in London, and in private practice in at BMI Blackheath Hospital, London. His interests are in biomechanics, musculoskeletal podiatry, sports injury and minor surgery including nail surgery.
Matthew gained membership of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine by examination in 2018 and Fellowship in 2021 and was elected as an ordinary member of the faculty executive board in 2019. He has volunteered with the homeless at Crisis at Christmas in London, and with athletes at the London Marathon and Action Challenge ultra-marathon events both in the UK and abroad.

Orthopaedic SurgeryMatt is an excellent clinician and podiatrist who I have no hesitation in recommending. I met Matt when he was training in one of the most respected foot and ankle units in London and he he has gone on to set up his own high quality practice in podiatry and biomechanics. Matt is extremely personable and I have had fantastic feedback from patients who I have sent to him. He has a deep understanding of foot and ankle conditions and we frequently work closely together in a multidisciplinary fashion to give our patients the best possible outcome. Again I would highly recommend Matt and regularly send him patients including friends and colleagues.
