Dr Emma King

Dr Emma King is a highly accomplished Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon specialising in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. She provides expert clinical evaluation and tailored surgical management for patients presenting with a wide array of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck conditions. Known for her empathetic and structured approach, Dr King is dedicated to delivering clear communication, comprehensive diagnostic assessments, and reassuring patient-centred care tailored to individual health needs.

Dr King completed her medical education at the University of Dundee, earning a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours alongside her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She subsequently completed postgraduate research at the University of Bristol, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in mucosal immunology. Following higher surgical training in the UK, she undertook a prestigious two-year fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology in Toronto, Canada. Dr King holds a professional fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

Her primary area of clinical expertise centres on head and neck surgical oncology, encompassing the diagnosis and surgical treatment of both benign and malignant head and neck conditions. In addition to managing routine and complex otolaryngological disorders, she performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including transnasal endoscopy, ear microsuction, and benign parotid surgery. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr King serves as a Professor of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, leading research into tumour microenvironments to develop innovative treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.
