Mr Steve Hayes

Mr Steve Hayes is a Consultant ENT Surgeon with extensive experience in managing a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. His clinical focus includes sinus pathology, the oral surgery–ENT interface, and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), a minimally invasive technique that enhances sinus function while reducing recovery time.

Mr Hayes provides both general and specialist ENT care, treating conditions such as nasal blockages, throat infections, ear problems, and voice disorders. He has a particular interest in the interface between oral surgery and ENT, offering expert assessment and management of sinus issues with both odontogenic and non-odontogenic causes. Working closely with oral and maxillofacial surgeons, he delivers integrated care for patients with complex sinus-related dental complications.

He regularly treats chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and deviated septum. He is also experienced in diagnosing and managing sleep-disordered breathing, including snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, for which he provides both medical and surgical solutions. His work in paediatric ENT includes the treatment of ear infections, breathing difficulties, and issues related to tonsils and adenoids.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Hayes is the Medical Director of Medicana Winchester, where he combines his leadership role with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care. This position allows him to shape services to be patient-centred, safe, and effective, ensuring that every individual benefits from a coordinated and compassionate approach.
