Dr Emma Cheasty is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist at Nuffield Health St Bartholomew's Hospital, where she has been based since 2014. She earned her medical degree from the University of Manchester in 2005 and commenced her Radiology training in the Northwest, later relocating to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2010.
Dr Cheasty completed her specialised cardiothoracic training and fellowship in Cardiac CT at the Royal Brompton Hospital and holds Level 3 Accreditation in Cardiac CT. She is an active member of the International Educational committee for the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists.
As the Clinical Lead of the cardiovascular CT department, situated in a tertiary referral centre and recognised as the largest in Europe, Dr Cheasty has spearheaded fellowship programs. These initiatives facilitate collaborative training for radiologists and imaging cardiologists, and she has also played a pivotal role in training numerous international Imagers in Cardiac CT.
Dr Cheasty's expertise lies in various areas, including coronary, structural, and congenital cardiac imaging, aortic imaging, as well as pulmonary disease, with a specific focus on lung cancer.
