Dr Elizabeth Visser

Dr Visser is a Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive medical care for patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions. Working in general and specialist medical care, she is dedicated to delivering patient-centred diagnostic and management strategies for complex disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. Her clinical approach combines high standards of evidence-based medicine with clear, reassuring communication to support patients throughout their care journey.

Throughout her career, Dr Visser has developed significant clinical expertise in managing conditions such as Functional Neurological Disorder, Multiple Sclerosis, Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, and Headaches. Her clinical focus also extends to neurovascular conditions, Parkinson's disease, young-onset dementia, and neuromuscular disorders. Within her practice, she oversees specialised treatments including botulinum toxin administration for headaches and dystonia, as well as intravenous infusion therapies for immunologically mediated neurological disorders.

In addition to her direct patient care duties, Dr Visser has held leadership positions as a Clinical Lead, contributing to medical service administration, rota management, and clinical governance. She actively engages in clinical research, having published studies investigating the epidemiology of Multiple Sclerosis and audits on neuroimmunology therapies.
