Dr Elizabeth Egbase is a highly skilled and compassionate consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with a decade of experience in the field. She is committed to providing equitable, high-quality women's healthcare and is known for her innovative and dynamic approach to medicine.
Dr Egbase received her MBBS from University College London medical school and holds an intercalated BSc degree in history of medicine. She has trained in several busy hospitals and spent two years as a senior trainee at a tertiary hospital in Brighton. She is currently a consultant at the Royal London Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, the largest NHS trust in England with a combined delivery rate of 16,000.
Dr Egbase's areas of expertise include emergency gynaecology, ambulatory gynaecology alongside ultrasound, minimal access surgery, and high-risk intrapartum care. In addition, she has a keen interest in medical education and completed a Master's in Medical Education in a Clinical Context with distinction at Queen Mary's University London. She uses these skills to train and develop the next generation of obstetric and gynaecologists and serves as part of the simulation faculty at Barts Health Education Academy.
She is also a member of the maternity safety charity, Baby Lifeline Multi-Professional Advisory Panel, where she helps steer the agenda and work of this nationally renowned and award-winning charity. She is passionate about self-development and yoga and enjoys travelling in her free time.
