Dr. Elena Maritan

Dr. Elena Maritan is a consultant psychiatrist based in London, with extensive experience in both the private sector and NHS. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, ASD) and affective disorders, including major depressive disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Dr. Maritan also has expertise in psychosis.

Dr. Maritan earned her MD in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua, Italy, where she also completed her postgraduate training in General Psychiatry, focusing on mood disorders and ADHD. Prior to her psychiatry training, she worked as a general practitioner for two years in Italy, where she honed her skills in patient management and cross-cultural communication.

She holds an MSc in Affective Disorders from King's College London, where she deepened her understanding of mood disorders and researched early life stress's impact on depression. Dr. Maritan has experience with treatment-resistant depression, having worked with patients at the South London and Maudsley tertiary care mental health service.

A member of the Clinical TMS Society, she is trained in the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
