Dr William Tillett is a consultant rheumatologist at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases and senior lecturer in the department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology at University of Bath. He specialises in Psoriatic arthritis and researches ways to improve the lives of people living with arthritis through improved detection (diagnosis), assessment (patient reported, clinical and imaging) and treatment strategies.
Dr. Tillet graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Anatomical Science and a full Medical Degree. His doctoral fellowship was focused on outcome measurement in psoriatic arthritis. Dr. Tillet sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Rheumatology and is a is a member of the international Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA) and also is a trustee for the Bath Institute for Rheumatic Diseases (BIRD). He co-authored the 2013 British Society of Rheumatology (BSR) psoriatic arthritis anti-TNF guidelines and currently co-chairs the guideline update committee.
In 2015 Dr. Tillet was awarded a EULAR Clinical Scientist award. Outside of work, he enjoys Woodwork, Blacksmithing and Cycling.
