About Dr Gurdeep S Dulay

Dr Gurdeep Dulay is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Rheumatologist who manages patients with a broad range of rheumatological problems including; Arthritis, Hypermobility syndromes/Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, polymyalgia rheumatica, axial spondyloarthritis, fibromyalgia, Lupus,
Sjogren's disease, osteoporosis, connective tissue diseases and fluoroquinolone
associated disability and Long-COVID syndrome.
Dr Dulay completed his medical training achieving distinction in the BM Primary examination from the University of Southampton. He was appointed as a Consultant Rheumatologist and Physician at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust in 2017.
In addition to his full-time Rheumatology work, Dr Dulay is also Clincal Director of General Medicine at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. Dr Dulay has extensive experience in performing joint injection procedures.
Amongst other achievements in recent years, Dr Dulay has also:
- Received National Awards for clinical work including; a National award at the
Houses of Parliament for work in Axial spondyloarthritis (December 2023). - Been invited to deliver presentations at Nationa and international level and has
authored/co-authored local, regional and national clinical guidelines. - Been selected to lead the regional Axial Spondyloarthritis group (SCAN) and was
lead author for the group's first two international abstracts/presentations (2023). - Invited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons to comment formally on
proposed NICE guidelines.
Dr Dulay enjoys an active role in medical education and holds formal roles in undergraduate and postgraduate education.

I was really happy with my appointment with Dr Dulay. I was seen promptly. He was really welcoming and polite ( a big difference to the experience I endure at Cowes Medical centre!) He listened carefully to everything I had to say. He was very thorough and I felt he really wanted to help me . I would highly recommend him
After presenting my symptoms Dr Dulay was very thorough in his examination and explained clearly what all the tests and scans he requested were for. When giving me the outcome of these tests again his explanation was clear and treatment plan put in place. Dr Dulay was very professional and friendly and caring.
