About Dr Tushar Vilas Salukhe
Dr Tushar Salukhe is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist, practising at Royal Brompton Hospital and 77 Wimpole Street.
He attended Imperial College London, where he earned a first-class degree in medical science in 1995 before graduating with distinction in medicine in 1998. Dr Salukhe then specialised in internal medicine and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). He later received funding from the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to pursue his PhD in pacing therapy for heart failure at the National Heart and Lung Institute.
He received his MD in 2008 and continued to be involved in research. He undertook specialist training in cardiology and electrophysiology at prestigious London hospitals, including the Royal Brompton, Hammersmith, and St Mary's.
His final year of study was spent undertaking an advanced research programme at the renowned University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany.
