The Cardiac Clinic

The cardiac clinic is led by Consultant Cardiologust Dr Robin Roberts FRCP.

Dr Roberts was an NHS Consultant at Queen Marys Hospital Roehampton and The Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea. He left the NHS in 2006 to run his own private clinic and develop his interest In External Counterpulsation Treatment and the management of chronic and difficult to treat aagina. He maintains his contacts with his colleagues in both the NHS and the private sector and delivers  holistic individualised  patient centred care. Dr Roberts is well versed in all aspects of General Medicine and the management of cardiac disease.  He is and expert in the management and treatment of Microvascular  angina ( non obstructive cardiac disease) and has a special interest in the cardiovacular complications of long covid., chronic ( sometimes called untreatable) angina  and complex medical problems.

Dr Roberts is also involved in the management of the effects of psychiatric and psychological illness in relation to cardiac disease in particular in relation to Bipolar disorder which has a significant impact on the heart.

Microvascular angina is more common in women and its peak incidence coincides with the menopause. Dr Roberts is a member of the British Menopause Society.

Dr Roberts offers face to face, video link  and telephone consultations to include both weekday and weeknd appointments at mutually convenient times.
