About Dr Tito Kabir
Dr Tito Kabir is a respected Consultant Cardiologist specialising in percutaneous coronary intervention via the radial (wrist) approach. He studied for his undergraduate medical degree at Guy's Hospital Medical School (now part of King's College London), where he was awarded the Hilton dissection medal.
He then completed his PhD in cardiovascular research at University College London Medical School. This PhD was funded by a prestigious British Heart Foundation scholarship and it resulted in several publications.
After spending time in research, Dr Kabir carried out his specialist interventional cardiology training at Royal Brompton and Hammersmith hospitals. He continued to develop his skills when he spent a year in Switzerland as a cardiology interventional trainee at the Le Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, Lausanne.
He is currently developing a renal denervation programme at Harefield Hospital for resistant hypertension and is also involved in the percutaneous aortic valve programme. Dr. Kabir is also widely published in academic and medical journals.
