Dr. Nabeel Ahmed

Dr Nabeel Ahmed is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with specialist expertise in coronary heart disease, hypertension, and hyperlipidaemias. His cardiology training was primarily undertaken at Hammersmith Hospital and Ealing Hospital, where he developed advanced skills in both diagnostic and preventative cardiovascular medicine.

Dr Ahmed graduated with an MB BS from the University of the Punjab in 1989 before moving to the UK to further his specialist training. He later completed a Diploma in Cardiology at Imperial College London in 1997, followed by an MD in 2011. His doctoral research focused on platelet reactivity and genetic polymorphism, reflecting his strong academic interest in cardiovascular disease and personalised medicine. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London.

His technical expertise includes 2D and 3D echocardiography, trans-oesophageal and stress echocardiography, as well as CT coronary angiography reporting. Actively involved in research, Dr Ahmed has published 25 peer-reviewed papers and is committed to improving cardiovascular awareness within the South Asian community.
