Dr. Nabeel Ahmed

Dr Nabeel Ahmed is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist in London, with more than 25 years’ experience in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular disease. He provides private cardiology consultations at Marris Medical on Harley Street and Syon Clinic in Brentford, with particular expertise in coronary heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidaemia (high cholesterol), cardiovascular risk assessment and preventive cardiology.

Dr Ahmed assesses and treats a wide range of cardiovascular symptoms and conditions, including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, dizziness, blackouts (syncope), coronary artery disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, arrhythmias, heart failure and valvular heart disease. His diagnostic expertise includes 2D and 3D echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography and CT coronary angiography. He also provides cardiovascular risk assessments and second opinions.

Dr Ahmed is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and holds an MD from Imperial College London. He is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London, where he remains involved in medical education and cardiovascular research. He has published more than 25 peer-reviewed papers and presentations.

Dr Ahmed has a particular interest in cardiovascular prevention and improving heart health within the South Asian community, and regularly contributes to media and public education initiatives. He works closely with HEART UK, the cholesterol charity. In August 2026, he was featured in The Daily Telegraph in “Healthy Heart, Healthy Life”, discussing the importance of recognising cardiovascular symptoms early, understanding individual cardiovascular risk and taking a preventive approach to heart health.
