Dr Sundus Yahya

Dr. Sundus Yahya is a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a strong background in advanced radiotherapy techniques and cancer research. She holds a substantive post at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospitals Birmingham, where she serves as Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Radiotherapy Service Lead, and MSCC Lead.

Dr. Yahya trained in Mersey and the Northwest region, with specialist clinical oncology training in the West Midlands. She obtained her Master’s in Clinical Oncology from the University of Birmingham during her specialist training and was awarded the RCR Cyclotron Fellowship in 2016 to gain expertise in Proton Therapy at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute.

Throughout her career, Dr. Yahya has held key leadership roles, including M&M Lead for Cancer Services (2019-2020) and Medical Tribunal Member of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber (Social Security and Child Support) in the UK (2018). She is a GMC-accredited trainer, passionate about medical education and oncology training. From 2017 to 2019, she delivered oncology training in low- and middle-income countries through the RCR International Travelling Fellowship.

Dr. Yahya is highly skilled in stereotactic radiotherapy techniques, including CyberKnife and VMAT, and is actively involved in breast, lung, and non-melanoma skin cancer clinical trials as both Principal Investigator and Co-investigator.
